Painting Signs is Eric Bibb's third studio album. Recorded mostly in Kent, England, this album features several new compositions as well as tracks written by major influences in American roots music Rev. Gary Davis, Pops Staples and Jimi Hendrix. Bibb is joined by bass player/producer Dave Bronze, keyboard player Janne Petersson and Henry Spinetti on the drum stool. The album also includes a live reworking of "Don't Ever Let Nobody Drag Your Spirit Down" featuring Bibb duetting with the legendary Wilson Pickett.
