Mark III cones are tunes for a warmer sound, with a slight emphasis in the bass and lower mids. They may take a touch of hardness out of a system.

Black Diamond makes two versions of the cones, Mark 3 and Mark 4, which have very different sonic signatures. Although they vary by sonic characteristics (the Mark 3 is warmer, with more midrange bloom; the Mark 4 is more linear in response), your system may sound best with a combination of both types.
