Born in an effort to pay tribute to influential artists and his own desire for self-expression, 4AD owner Ivo Watts-Russell formed the band This Mortal Coil. The band helped pioneer the more modern 4AD sound of atmospheric, goth-based, electronic pop music and in the case of This Mortal Coil, applies that sound to favorite folk and rock songs alongside a few instrumental originals. This release has been immaculately reissued under the watchful eye of Watts-Russell. All of the music has been remastered from the original analog tapes and all of the art is from the original assets by Watts-Russell and his team. The vinyl has been painstakingly pressed on high-quality, 180-gram by Furnace MFG/Record Industry in Holland. You've never heard It'll End In Tears until you've heard this gem.
